Alfreton Town FC manager Nicky Law feels it is a big bonus that he is able to welcome back club captain Dan Bradley for this Saturday’s tough-looking home league game against in-form Stalybridge Celtic.

Bradley is available again after serving two consecutive suspensions which has kept him out of Town’s side for the last seven games.

The Reds boss commented: “As a team, we have done well of late but Dan will certainly come into the reckoning for Saturday.

“I feel that a couple of players have dipped (in form) lately so Dan’s return will maybe give me the opportunity to freshen things up and add competition.

“He is a great one to be able to bring back in so let’s see” added Law.

Alfreton go into the game with just one defeat in their last six games and on the back of a dramatic 3-2 win at previously unbeaten Tamworth in the Emirates FA Cup last Saturday.

The Reds were 2-0 down with thirteen minutes left but produced a storming finish to snatch victory with goals from Jamie Jackson (77), Jordan Robertson (89) and John Johnston (90+1).

“Tamworth made it difficult last weekend in a game we bossed in the first half and once again showed great endeavour but there was a lack of experience and game management and Dan Bradley’s know-how will be a big boost for us.

“Saturday will be a difficult game. Liam Watson’s teams are always hard to play against” ended Law.

Tenth-placed Stalybridge Celtic come into this Saturday’s fixture with just one defeat in their last seven outings in all competitions and unbeaten in their last four league games, drawing two and winning two, their latest success being a 1-0 home win against FC United of Manchester.
