The Reds had a four-game winning run in the league ended by a 1-0 defeat at Stockport County last weekend and Law feels it is important that the squad do not dwell on the loss, but rather react strongly and positively to another big challenge.

He said: “They (the players) have not got to be too dejected, it’s just one game. There is nothing we can do about the past, only learn from it. We move on and try and build another run.

“We beat ourselves at Stockport. That’s the only thing when you have got a group of youngish ones when they are learning, some of them stopped doing what had won us four games in a row.

“Stockport were nowhere near the best team we have played this year.

“At times we can be our own worst enemy when we forget what makes us tick.”

He added: “It will obviously be a tough game as Tamworth have done really well this season and are unbeaten so far.

“But, we will travel in confidence. They will be confident as well after the start they have had but we have a good record at The Lamb and we just need to channel all our thoughts into progressing in the FA Cup. It is definitely a game we will be relishing.”

Should a replay be necessary, the Reds will host Tamworth at the Impact Arena next Tuesday, September 29th with a 7.45pm kick-off. Extra time and penalties would be utilised if necessary to decide who goes forward into the third qualifying round on October.

Meanwhile, former Cheltenham Town right-sided defender Durrell Berry, 23, has signed non contract terms with the Reds.

Berry began his career at Notts County’s Centre of Excellence and had trials with Derby County and Nottingham Forest before progressing through Aston Villa’s Academy where he appeared in both legs of the 2010 FA Youth Cup Final against Chelsea before signing his first professional contract in 2010.

He was a regular for the reserves but released at the end of the 2010/11 season and moved on to Plymouth Argyle between 2011 and 2014 where he made 95 Football League appearances scoring once.

Durrell had a short spell with Torquay United in 2014/15, making 12 appearances then making 13 appearances for Cheltenham Town.
