MRA ROUND-UP: Rowsley 86 marching on

Rowsley 86 extended their unbeaten start to eight games in the Midlands Regional Alliance Premier Division with a comfortable 6-0 home victory over third placed Shirebrook Rangers.

William Fletcher bagged a hat-trick while Tobias McClean, James Wood and substitute Ricky Shortt completed the scoring.

Wirksworth Town also enjoyed a 6-0 victory as they AFC Kilburn to the sword, thanks to braces from Toby Howard and Andrew Brown and efforts from Lewis Land and James Newton.

Wirksworth Ivanhoe picked up their second win of the campaign as they defeated basement side Allestree 2-0. Michael Beech and Adam Twigg were on target for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Allenton United and Cromford shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Errol Johnson and Jack Walsh netted for United; Kyle Johnson and Daniel Wildgoose for Cromford.

In the sole Division One game, league leaders Melbourne Dynamo moved four points clear of the top following their 4-1 win at Sherwin Athletic.

Jack Goodband (2), Carl Allsop and David Worger scored the goals for Dynamo.

In Division Two, Matlock Town ADS maintained second place with a 4-1 victory at Littleover Dazzlers thanks to goals from Connor Gratton (2), Marcus Beddoe and Tom Towndrow.

Wirksworth Ivanhoe Reserves were the biggest winners of the weekend as they cruised to an 11-0 victory over Dimple thanks to four goals from Josh Holmes and a hat-trick from Harry Wanford. Edward Bowler (2), Charlie Pugh-Cordero and Damian Vinall also netted in the win.

In an eight-goal thriller, Rolls-Royce Leisure and Melbourne Dynamo Reserves shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw.

Alex Slater’s hat-trick and strike from Paul Swallow contributed to Dynamo’s tally.

Elsewhere, Punjab United egded past Derby Deaf 2-1. Adam FInlay got on the scoresheet for Derby.

Division Two leaders Burton Town overcame Division One outfit Little Eaton 5-3 to book their place in the next round of the Challenge Cup.

Muhammad Bojang (3), Ousman Cehan and Jarred Foster netted the winning goals for Town.

Castle Donington Cobras also progressed as they ran out easy 4-0 winners at Chesterfield Town courtesy of Oliver Brown’s hat-trick and strike from Jack Purkiss.

Rowsley 86 Reserves also enjoyed away day joy as they claimed a 5-2 victory over Little Eaton Reserves thanks to goals from substitute Liam Hallam (3), Angus Hodgson and Nathan Moore.

Moira United won by a similar scoreline over Wirksworth Town Reserves with Rikki Birch (2), Luke Hardwick, Alex Morton and William Price netting the winning goals. Jacob Bradbury and Tim Richards scored for Town.

Elsewhere, Matlock United booked their place in the next round with a 4-1 victory over Willington Sports.

Daniel Bridge, Ben Chamberlain, Anthony Charlton and Adam Wragg got on the scoresheet for United.
