Moxam brace seals win for Shirebrook
The first chance of any note fell to Shirebrook, skipper Craig Getliff striking a volley from 25 yards out that went straight into Dinnington goalkeeper Samuel Jepson’s safe hands on eight minutes.
But the visitors soon settled and Martin Wade went close a couple of times before Shirebrook’s Adam Shepherd fired just wide of Jepson’s post from 30 yards at the other end as the half-hour approached.

Shirebrook began to dominate and Matthew Thompson came close with a header from Danny Booth’s crossg.
It was Shirebrook who finally broke the deadlock eight minutes after the restart, Moxam heading the ball into an open net from 10 yards when keeper Jepson completely misjudged Tom Clarke’s cross.
The goal was a bit of a gift and hapless Dinnington looked to hit back straightaway, the perfect response coming eight minutes later when they were back on level terms after the home side gave them the ball before Wade fired into the bottom far corner from 16 yards.

Shirebrook made a change in formation with the introduction of defender Wayne Diuk and striker Danny Wiltshire on 65 minutes – followed by flying winger Jamie Brown nine minutes later to give the home side another attacking option.
And that last change made the difference, Brown the provider when Moxam fired home his and Shirebrook’s second on 84 minutes, a half-volley driven into the ground at the far post off the winger’s cross from the right, which went across goal and into the Dinnington net at the opposite side.
Moxam very nearly grabbed himself a hat-trick two minutes into time added on at the end with Dinnington thin at the back, still pushed up looking for an equaliser, but Jepson was quickly off his line to deny the prolific Shirebrook striker this time.
