Media company announces plans for live radio coverage of Alfreton Town home games

The service is free to use by following the Mixlr or Facebook links.

Coverage runs from 2.50pm to 5pm every home game starting with this Saturday’s big FA Cup fourth qualifying round home clash with Lincoln City kicking off the coverage.

They also provide a live twitter commentary on the handle @ShireSportScene

A spokesman for Derbyshire Sport Scene said: “Were really excited to get started. We cover all of the action around Derbyshire but we want to focus more on the lower levels than the big teams such as Derby and Chesterfield.

“Non league sides don’t get anywhere near enough attention, we want to get people to realise how entertaining this level of football is and aim to get people through the turnstiles.

“Its something completely new for us and for the club, and were hoping to branch out and do this for other clubs too.”

Coverage is currently only available for Alfreton Town FC home games, but the group aim to cover away games as soon as possible.
