The Bulls chucked two points away after conceding a penality five minutes into injury-time against Maltby Main.

“It has come out of nothing, at 2-1 up we looked like a side that was losing,” he said.

"We had two great chances to win the game and then they took charge and got what they deserved. They were better than us in the last 25 minutes.

“We were dominant for 65 minutes, but we should have killed the game off. We switched off.

“We have had words. It is all well and good the cup games, but we need to win the bread and butter matches and see games out.”

Appeals for a penalty on 30 minutes were waved away as Matt Sykes looked to be upended in the Maltby box.

But they levelled through Josh Wilde levelled on 45 minutes after Ross Dugan played him in.

They hit the front just three minutes into the restart when Jordan Annable headed home from a corner.

The game started to change direction and Maltby started to dominate play with their visitors sitting back and inviting them on.

AFC paid the price when Phil Buxton handled in the box. keeper Hugo Warhurst was then sin binned for apparently delaying the restart even though at the time the ball wasn’t placed on the spot.

Liam Marsden went in goal and even though he saved Bradley Beatson’s spot kick the ball agonisingly slipped through his hands and over the line.
