Ryan Ingram had given The Wrens the lead in the first half as he netted his sixth goal in five games, before Curtis Bamford's late goal wrapped it up.

The win was Rainworth's sixth in a row in all competitions and sees them move up to fifth in the EMCL.

Rainworth's first chance came in the 7th minute as Owen Clarke was played through on goal. A cross along the ground from the right side was dummied by Craig Mitchell finding the feet of Clarke, however the winger's shot was straight at the goalkeeper.

Eastwood came close to going ahead in the 25th minute as Jermain Hollis's shot inside the box was deflected over the crossbar. The subsequent corner found Jared Holmes in the centre of the box whose volley was well saved by Warren Squires to keep the ex-Wren out.

Ten minutes before half time and the Wrens squandered another chance. A ball down the left by Owen Clarke played Craig Mitchell in, however the striker hesitated in front of goal and the chance was soon mopped up by the Eastwood defence.

Rainworth took the lead in the 41st minute as Ryan Ingram again found the back of the net for the Wrens. Owen Clarke’s through ball found Ingram in front of goal as the inform forward coolly converted his sixth goal of the season.

Rainworth restarted the second half by testing the goalkeeper in the 50th minute. A freekick just outside of the box was well struck by Ingram and was palmed around the post by Mark Rathbone.

Following Rainworth's early chance, Eastwood's presence in the half grew substantially.

They came close to drawing level in the 82nd minute as Callum McGarry's freekick forced Warren Squires into a strong save. Squires did well to parry his shot away from the danger of on-rushing Eastwood attackers.

Despite pressure from the visitors, Rainworth wrapped up the points in the 88th minute through Kurtis Bamford. The midfielder picked the ball up from a short right sided corner before arrowing his shot into the bottom left corner with precision.

Eastwood did all they could to get one back late on as Squires produced a fine save in the 95th minute, tipping Joe Harrison's shot over the crossbar. However, The Wrens held out to secure their fifth league win in a row and move up to fifth place in the EMCL.
