Wednesday date for Sheffield United v Stags

Mansfield Town will play their first round away game to Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, 13th August (7.45pm), following police advice.

Mansfield Town in pre-season action against Sheffield United last summer.

The cup draw had given the police a headache with Blades, Sheffield Wednesday (v Notts County) and Rotherham United (v Fleetwood Town) all drawn at home.

The Blades, who are managed by Nigel Clough, finished in seventh position in Sky Bet League One last season, and were semi-finalists in this competition back in 2003.
