Mansfield Town were beaten 1-0 by Hartlepool United after failing to make the most of their best chances.
The Stags first chance came on 19 minutes when Michael Raynes headed a corner wide from ten yards.
Manfield pressed for a leveller late on and were three times denied in quick succession by Pools’ keeper Scott Flinders.
