After Ryan Tafazolli walked off with all the external player of the season awards on Saturday, the trophies were a little more evenly spread around at the club’s own awards dinner on Sunday.
Before the Cambridge game, central defender Tafazolli, currently mulling over a new contract offer, won all five senior awards, including that of Chad Readers’ Stags Player of the Year, as seen on our video.
But on Sunday, Tafazolli, Matt Green, Lee Collins and Mal Benning all received main awards.

The award was sponsored by Ulyett Landscapes and presented by Mark Burton, of Ulyett, and Dillon Burton.
The Golden Boot award, sponsored by Thorntons for the player who has scored the most goals during the season, went to Matt Green for his final tally of 16. It was presented by Paul Broughton, and Steve Abbott, of Thorntons.

All the first team squad voted for this award, Tafazolli playing 47 times for the club this season, scoring six goals in all competitions.
