Mansfield Town today added another attractive pre-season friendly to their list when it was announced that Championship club Blackburn Rovers will visit One Call Stadium.
Adam Murray’s side will welcome Rovers on Tuesday, July 26 (7.30pm kick-off) as they prepare for the 2016/17 Sky Bet League Two season.
The Lancashire club finished 15th in the Championship last season under the stewardship of Paul Lambert, before he left his role at the end of the campaign.
Former Burnley and Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle was appointed as Lambert’s replacement in May 2016 as the club plot their return to the Premier League for the first time since their relegation in the 2011/12 season.
Ticket prices for the fixture will be announced in due course.
Stags have already announced the visit of relegated Bolton Wanderers, of League One, on Saturday, July 16.
