Both have been nursing pre-season injuries and it is now hoped they will be ready for the home clash with Walsall on Saturday ahead of the season curtain-raiser at Northampton the following week.

Stags won 1-0 at Grimsby Town on Friday night thanks to a Matt Rhead goal and boss Paul Cox today said: “Following the Grimsby Town game, the forthcoming friendly with Lincoln will give our players another serious test.

“Lincoln, I feel, will be looking for promotion next season and it’ll therefore be a great game to test all facets of our play.”

Visiting supporters can pay on the night at the Gelder Group Sincil Bank Stadium.

Away fans will be housed in the Stacey West Stand, behind the goal, with admission prices £10 adults, £5 concessions, £2 students/U18s.
