Stags keeping tight rein on Miller enthusiasm

Injured Mansfield Town loanee striker Ricky Miller is itching to get back on the pitch and win a full debut before the season ends.

The Peterborough striker is out with a hamstring injury and boss David Flitcroft admitted: “We’ve got to hold him back. We’ve got to hold the reins on him.

“It’s a worry when you’ve got a hamstring injury as there is a timeline on it and you have to do everything in that sequence.

“You can’t go out of sequence with it. You can’t do extra when you probably want to, and he is quite an impatient lad.

“We’ve got to make sure he doesn’t get in front of himself as you have to be considerate when it’s a hamstring tear.

“It’s still probably going to be another couple of weeks with Ricky.”
