Stags’ FA Cup tie with Concord called off
Sadly the postponement came too late to prevent the Conference South part-timers making the complete journey all the way up from Canvey Island for their big day.
The pitch was fine first thing but then it began to rain heavily at about 8am and the match officials came in early to keep an eye on the situation.

Hide AdAnother late morning heavy downpour then wreaked more havoc and, with more heavy rain forecast around kick-off time, they were left with no choice but to call it off.
The game will now have to be played on a midweek date to be agreed, likely to be a week on Tuesday.
