Stags draw Concord Rangers at home in FA Cup

Mansfield Town will begin their FA Cup trail for the season with a home first round clash with Conference South side Concord Rangers.

The tie was the first out of the hat in tonight’s draw, made live on BBC2.

The Canvey Island-based Beachboys saw off St Alban’s City last weekend, who Stags beat 8-1 at the first round stage last season, to reach the first round for the first time in their history.

Last season Rangers finished ninth in their maiden Conference South season and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Barnet in the fourth qualifying round.

This season they have already knocked out Wealdstone United and Winchester City as well as St Albans.

The Beachboys are currently 15th in Conference South after winning four, drawing four and losing four of their 12 games to date.

The game is set to be played over the weekend of Saturday, 8th November.
