Stags defender Sutton hoping for a change in cup fortunes at Lincoln

RITCHIE Sutton is hoping Stags can see off Lincoln City in Saturday’s FA Cup second round tie at Sincil Bank to quickly erase the bad memories of the tame midweek FA Trophy replay exit at minnows Matlock Town.

“We are very disappointed as in both games we have gone ahead but taken our foot off the gas in the second half and paid the price,” he said.

“Now we have to put it right and do it for ourselves on Saturday. We must make sure we don’t disappoint.

“It is classed as a derby and is going to be tough. But we have more than enough in our team to beat them.

“Even if we don’t win on Saturday, it would be nice to be in the hat as it may give us some extra inspiration for a replay from who we’ve got in the next round.”
