Gary Roberts returned to the Stags’ starting line-up for today’s big showdown with leaders Fleetwood Town at sun-drenched Highbury Stadium on the North-West coast.
Louis Briscoe was the unlucky man to make way for Roberts to come into a 4-3-3 formation.
Fleetwood, unbeaten in 24 league games, decided to rest some of their big guns and their bench included the likes of Richard Brodie, Magno Vieira and Jamie Vardy.
Third-placed Stags, who have won seven and drawn one in an eight-game unbeaten run, were looking to wipe away the memory of a 5-0 FA Cup defeat here earlier in the season.
