Mansfield Town wingman called up by England C

STAGS winger Lindon Meikle has been called up to England C ahead of their Challenge Trophy match at Gibralter later this month.

The ex-Eastwood Town player had been selected for Paul Fairclough’s squad earlier this season to face India before the match was cancelled.

The match will be played at Victoria Stadium, Gibralter on Tuesday 15th November. Speaking to, Meikle said: “I’m buzzing. I appreciate breaks like this in football. It means a lot. It proves to me that I am capable of playing at this level of football.

Said manager Paul Cox: “I’m ‘over the moon’ for Lindon. I’ve had him ‘since he was a baby’ at Eastwood and he has worked hard to deserve this chance.”
