Mansfield Town give Anthony Dwyer his first pro contract

The 18-year-old, known as ‘Neilo by his team-mates, scored six goals in the Football League Youth Alliance– including a strike against Notts County in the final game of the season.

He also gained imperative experience following a loan spell with Evo-Stik Division One (South) outfit Carlton Town.
Manager Adam Murray said: “Neilo is another one of the young starlets that we are privileged to have at this football club.

“As well as planning for the immediate future it’s important that we put things in place for the club’s long-term future.

“Neilo has the raw ingredients that I believe can affect the Football League. With the right work and the right attitude, the sky is his limit.”
