Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray thanks supporters for York backing
Over 3,300 home fans turned out and kept shouting to the end.

Hide Ad“There were a few ‘ums and arrs’ at the end because of the disappointment we didn’t win after all the possession and chances we’d had. We were disappointed too so I will accept that.
“But from the beginning of the game they did what I’ve asked for and they backed their team and supported their team, even when we went 1-0 down the noise rose.
“We had singing, we had the drum non-stop. It was brilliant.
“We came in at half-time and for the first time in a long time, the players went ‘come on, let’s do it for these fans’ because they’d got behind them.
“They will have seen the difference it made in the second half as the lads played with that energy and the ball was getting sucked into this end.
“Unfortunately for us it didn’t go in.”
