Mansfield Town have achieved ‘family excellence status’ this season, recognising the ‘extraordinary quality of the family experience’ the club provides, the EFL announced today.

The club has made it a priority to improve its family experience in recent seasons and is delighted to have been awarded this status by the EFL as a sign of the club’s ongoing progress

An adult and a child have been able to watch home games at One Call Stadium this season for just £18, or two adults and two children for just £36 - situated in the Stags’ Family Area in the Ian Greaves Lower Tier.

Along with a host of activities and competitions to keep children entertained from 1.30pm onwards, the experience includes a visit from a player and a designated member of staff on hand to assist when required.

The club also serves its much-loved Sammy’s Meal Boxes on matchdays, which includes a hot snack of chicken nuggets or fish bites, crisps and a drink for just £3.

Operations director Tina Broughton: “The club has received much praise for its family experience and we are delighted to receive this new, upgraded status of excellence from the English Football League.

“We are a family club and take real pride in welcoming everyone to One Call Stadium on home matchdays. Our aim is deliver the best matchday experience possible.

“Plans to enhance the family experience for next season are already underway and we should be in a position to reveal more on this soon.”
