Mansfield Harriers sign up Stags owner Radford

Mansfield Town chairman John Radford has today accepted the position as honorary president of Mansfield Harriers Athletics Club.
Radford agreed to take up the role following an invitation by the club’s committee.
Mansfield Harriers Athletics Club boasts over 250 members, aged from nine to 79 and is the largest of its kind within the area.
Its acting chairman Pat Carlan said: “We’re very pleased that John has agreed to join us. His profile and standing within the community should help us develop further by increasing participation of athletics within Mansfield.”
Radford added: “I consider it a privilege to become Mansfield Harriers’ honorary president. “Participation in local sport is something which is close to my heart. I’d like to see many more young people in the local area engage in sport and establish a lasting network between Mansfield Town and the athletics club.”
