Mansfield Town defender Liam Marsden has signed a new contract to remain at the club for the 2015/16 campaign.
The 20-year-old, who progressed through the club’s youth system, made his professional debut against Torquay United at One Call Stadium back in April 2014.
He then went on to feature 13 times in the 2014/15 campaign.
Speaking shortly after his signing, boss Adam Murray said: “We’ve been waiting for Liam to come back off his holiday so that we could complete the paperwork.
“Liam is someone who has a superb attitude, who didn’t get as much of an opportunity as we would’ve liked due to our situation last season, but we have great belief in him and he will be part of moving this football club forwards.”
The Stags’ manager added: “He fits into our culture and the football club matters to him, which is an important thing.”
