Hendrie under scrutiny in Stags reserves draw

Mansfield Town’s reserves drew 1-1 at Scunthorpe United in their opening Final Third Development League (East Division) game this afternoon.

They also used the game to run the rule over ex-Bolton trialist Jordan Hendrie (18), believed to be a left wing back, who is a free agent.

The Stags finished as runners-up in this division last season.

Rory Fallon put United in front after 22 minutes, but Ollie Palmer levelled with 12 minutes to go.

Keeper Sascha Studer then had to turn a late Fallon header against a post to preserve the point.

John Dempster came through almost an hour of the game.
