HALF-TIME: Northampton Town 1, Mansfield Town 0
Mansfield Town were trailing 1-0 at half-time in today’s big top six game at crisis club Northampton Town.
The goal came as early as the fifth minute at a soggy Sixfields when former Chesterfield striker Marc Richards headed home an Alfie Potter cross from the left.
Mansfield enjoyed good spells of possession without really testing the home keeper, Matt Green coming closest to levelling with a header against the bar in stoppage time from a Blair Adams free kick.
