Stags boss David Flitcroft vowed to continue to give his best to transfer-listed quartet Paul Anderson, Calum Butcher, Zander Diamond and Paul Digby however their season unfolds.

“All the players are available - if someone comes in and wants our players and we can negotiate the right deal then we will do,” he said.

“That goes for most players at most football clubs.

“But while these are Mansfield Town players I will always have a responsibility to make sure they are fit as humanly possible and max out on their potential, whether they are 37 or an 18-year-old. I take that really seriously.

“As a coach and manager you are inspiring and motivating players to hit their peaks in all four corners – tactically, mentally, technically and physically.”
