Mansfield Town made just one change as they tried to end a run of six games without a win at in-form Hartlepool United today with Adam Chapman replacing the suspended Jamie McGuire in midfield.

Stags were looking to close the eight-point gap to the play-off places against a Pools side unbeaten in six who had not conceded for the last four games.

Hartlepool were unchanged for a fifth successive game which meant ex-Stag Nathan Thomas started the game, a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ between the clubs evaporating with a change of manager at Victoria Park.
