Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray hailed his side’s battling display as they earned a 1-1 home draw in dreadful conditions against play-off rivals Leyton Orient to stay in the top seven.
On a day when heavy rain and swirling wind ruined any hopes of football, Reggie Lambe wiped out Jay Simpson’s early strike and Murray said: “I think that was a massive point for us.
“When we look back in two or three months time, it will be a huge point as you take points off the sides around you, don’t get beaten by the teams around you, it keeps you in touch with that top seven.”
Our match photographer Steve Uttley captured the fans’ emotions with this slideshow.
