Mansfield Town to wear charity shirt against Forest Green Rovers

Mansfield Town’s first team players will wear the club’s special-edition charity shirt in tomorrow’s home match to Forest Green Rovers, one year after the country entered its first national lockdown.

The club raised £3,800 from the sale of the shirt which has been donated to King’s Mill Hospital.

The funds were used towards the purchase of patient monitors within the Endoscopy Unit at the hospital.

Stags launched their limited-edition charity shirt last July as a thank you to NHS staff for their continuing hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mansfield Town’s stadium director Paul Broughton said: “It’s encouraging to see that we’re reaching a turning point in this country following the roll-out of the vaccine.
