Mansfield Town to auction shirts from Forest Green Rovers game for NHS

The club initially raised over £3,800 from sales of the charity shirt, which will be worn for one match only in tonight’s home clash with Forest Green Rovers.

The funds generated from the special edition shirt sales were donated to King’s Mill Hospital in Mansfield, and were used towards the purchase of patient monitors within the Endoscopy Unit.

After tonight’s match at One Call Stadium - which takes place on the one-year anniversary of the country’s first lockdown - the match-worn and signed shirts will be auctioned, to generate further funds for our NHS.

Those who purchase a shirt will also have the option of the match-worn item being signed by the individual player.

Every player in the matchday squad for the clash with Forest Green will have a shirt available to purchase, as well as a shirt for manager Nigel Clough.

The auctions are expected to take place over the next week.

Those inside One Call Stadium will also observe a minute’s silence before tonight’s game, to remember those who lost lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
