Mansfield Town have made three impressive signings in Tyler Walker, Craig Davies and Otis Khan.
All of them are proven at Football League level, as well as being exciting prospects.
They are signings who will not only excite the fans but improve the squad massively.
So far we, the fans, have been frustrated by the lack of transfer activity and speculating on who we would sign, but we can rest easier now these are all confirmed ahead of the new season.
After how last season ended, it was important that we brought in players who would improve us going forward.
The main area we were lacking was midfield, as well as our strikers not being clinical enough in front of goal.
These signings will also provide competition for places as players in the squad, which will be a lot smaller than last season, will no doubt want to keep a place in the side.
Tyler Walker has bags of potential and will view this loan switch from Forest as a big opportunity for him, in terms of his development moving forward in his career.
He has been unlucky with his injuries when sent out on loan but, if he can avoid being out, we could see a top young player next season at the Stags. It was also interesting to hear that we have a good relationship with Forest, which could lead to us having more youngsters come on loan, in the near future.
Craig Davies has a wealth of experience throughout the league, playing for teams such as Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and Barnsley, to name a few, in his career.
He has also represented Wales and is one of only three players to hold the record of scoring a hat-trick, at under-21 level.
Last seasons he scored 14 goals for Oldham in 40 appearances.
He could prove to be a nuisance for defenders at this level, with his physical presence and knowledge throughout the game.
Otis Khan is without doubt one of the most impressive midfielders in this division. Starting out his career at Manchester United, he has had spells at Sheffield United, Matlock, AFC Barrow and Yeovil Town, where he caught the eye of teams in the Championship.
He is the kind of midfielder we have been crying out for years. His frightening pace, vision and eye for goal, will strike fear in opposition defenders. Huge credit must go to the Radfords for making the deals happen, as there were other clubs fighting for the three signatures.
For once we have signed quality over quantity.
