Skipper Nicky Hunt looks set to be reunited with former Bolton Wanderers team mate Kevin Nolan, now player-manager at Leyton Orient with a deal being thrashed out today.

Nolan said: “Obviously he’s someone we’re really interested in and hopefully we will see some positive news in the next 48 hours. “Maybe there will be a couple but Nicky’s one we’re certainly interested.”

Stags boss Adam Murray said on Saturday that he does have a possible replacement right back lined up if Hunt is sold and felt he could not stand in the way of the experienced right back departing as it was a good deal for both the club and the player.

On social media that player is rumoured to be Swansea City’s Daniel Alfei.

Otherwise Murray is hoping no one else comes in for any of his play-off chasing squad, which is small and tight knit.

Saturday’s 1-0 win at Crawley Town lifted the Stags back into the top seven.
