The 20-year-old, a product of the club’s academy, signed for Barnsley in July 2019 before becoming a free agent last month.
He will bolster the midfield options available to manager Nigel Clough who said: “Keaton will provide cover in the midfield area. He knows the setup here well and we're delighted to have him on board.“He's been training with the academy and the first team. He looks a neat and tidy player, good technically and doesn't look out of place training with the first team.”
"Hes a good young midfielder and will give us a bit of cover similar to Jake Wright. He has come back to try and impress and just wants a chance to play, he would play for nothing.
“He’s only 20 and is fit and up to speed. It’s great for him to come here and be involved.”
