Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough honoured by Nottingham Trent University
Mansfield Town boss Nigel Clough has been given an honorary doctorate of sport by Nottingham Trent University.
Clough collected the very different honour during a ceremony at the university on Thursday.

The Stags boss was handed his degree for services to sport and football.
Clough told BBC Radio Nottingham: “I wasn’t sure if it was a wind up or not, but we sat down and discussed it with the family and they said what a lovely thing it would be to receive, and it is as well.
“It is nice to get something that’s not a promotion medal or anything to do with football. It’s nice to be recognised outside of that.”
Nigel follows in the footsteps of father Brian, who received an honorary Master of Arts from Nottingham University in 1990.
