Mansfield Town make first signing of transfer deadline day

Mansfield Town have made their move of transfer deadline day after announcing that midfield ace Tyler Roberts has signed a permanent contract until the end of the season after leaving Birmingham City.
The 27-year-old has impressed during his loan spell with the Stags after joining in September, scoring three goals in nine appearances before being sidelined with a calf injury from which he is about to return to action.
“I’m happy where I am at Mansfield right now so to get this one completed made a lot of sense,” he said.
“Since I joined on loan I’ve really enjoyed my time here. The group is amazing and the fans have been great.
“I’m feeling good and joined in training last week and I’m hoping that my return is very soon.”
