Preston has been given the all-clear after the concussion he suffered at Yeovil on 11th August and returned to full training yesterday (Thursday).

White’s tight hamstring has eased and he is expected to return to training today (Friday) though won’t be risked if not fully right.

“We are assessing them continually and they are getting nearer. The signs are encouraging,” said manager David Flitcroft.

“Matty Preston is back with us and we will see how he comes through training. He is out on the grass joining in with the squad which is good.

“Hayden White will possibly join in with the squad today. He has done some field work with Tom, our physio, and will probably assess him more later today.

“I was concerned with him early in the week but as the week has progressed things have looked a lot more positive.

“They are getting nearer which is good news for us and we could have a full squad if we can get them back for Saturday.”
