Mansfield Town have confirmed their upcoming EFL Trophy group stage schedule.

Stags have been drawn into Group D in the EFL Trophy Northern Section alongside Manchester City U21s, Port Vale and bitter rivals Chesterfield.

The club has confirmed the match-day information for each fixture, including a home clash with the Spireites.

Mansfield Town’s EFL Trophy campaign will get underway on Wednesday, August 19 against Man City U21s at the One Call Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.

Next up is a visit to League Two side Port Vale at Vale Park on Tuesday, October 6, with a 7pm kick-off.

Stags’ final group game will be a derby day meeting with Chesterfield at the One Call. The rivals’ clash is scheduled for 7pm on Tuesday, November 10.

Last season, Mansfield Town failed to progress beyond the EFL Trophy group stage after finishing bottom of Group F with just one point. The point came from a 2-2 draw against Newcastle U21, who earned the extra point after winning the penalty shootout. Mansfield’s other results were defeats against Harrogate Town and Huddersfield.

Ticket information for all three EFL Trophy Group D games will be available in due course.
