Way, who aged 36 can be considered a fellow rookie boss, says Murray’s work in keeping the Stags up last term was nothing short of a “miracle.”

Yeovil head north at the weekend hovering above the League Two relegation spots whilst Mansfield will be looking to climb back into the play-off picture.

“He’s a good, young manager setting out his mark,” said Way.

“He’s done a fantastic job and had his struggles last year.

“Like me he wants to build the club rather than the team and he’s had chance to do that and is reaping the rewards.

“Not so much this season but I look at what he did last season, and it was a miracle what he did.

“That is what I am trying to achieve here.

“He had to concentrate on the short-term then, but now he has got a chance to focus on the long-term and that is something I want to do.

Despite the Glovers losing just one of their last four outings away from Huish Park, Way is in no doubt of the size of the task that awaits his side.

“It’s a tough place to go.” he added.
