Mansfield Town celebrate family award from EFL

Mansfield Town have been awarded 'Family Excellence' status by the EFL for the 2019/20 season.

The Stags are one of 63 EFL clubs to be given the award for their efforts to deliver an outstanding family experience.

Supporters' liaison officer Danielle Hett said: "We are very proud to have been awarded Family Excellence status for the fourth season in a row.

"The club prides itself on the family environment that has been built over the last few seasons and we are delighted that the EFL have continued to recognise this."

Chairman John Radford added: “I’m proud of how far we’ve come as a club, making the Stags a bastion of our Town. There is still much work to do, though I’m pleased that we are being recognised nationally as a family-orientated, community club.

“We’ll keep striving to improve every area of our football club.”

The award highlights the continual success the club have achieved with their family environment in recent campaigns, with the Stags also being awarded Family Excellence Gold Status in 2018/19, along with the Sky Bet League Two Family Club of the Year award in the same season.

The club opened their award-winning family room in 2018, which improved family experience at One Call Stadium, and the club continued to improve matchdays for families last season, until the COVID-19 pandemic curtailed the campaign.

The work done by the club over the course of 2019/20 saw the EFL grant the Stags Family Excellence status for the fourth year running.
