Manager says scoreline harsh on unlucky Ollerton
Winter felt the 3-0 scoreline was harsh on Ollerton, and said: “We played OK in patches against a very good Grimsby team. However, we can’t miss as many chances as we did, and expect to win.
“Their goalkeeper was outstanding and was rightly named man-of-the-match. But it’s still disappointing not to get anything from the game.”

Hide AdGrimsby’s joint bosses Daniel Barrett and Nathan Collins acknowledged that Ollerton were the better outfit in the opening exchanges. “Ollerton is a hard place to go, and in the first 30 minutes, they were by far the best team ,” said Barrett. “But I’m delighted with the result. It’s not often they don’t score.”
Grimsby opened the scoring towards the end of the first half when Jack Bradbury played in James Wroot, who lifted the ball over onrushing goalkeeper Ryan Brooks. And it was soon 2-0 when an attempted cross by Bradbury floated over Brooks and into the corner.
Ollerton almost hit back when an acrobatic scissor-kick from Jordan Buckham was superbly saved by ‘keeper Scott Drury, and again in the second half when Lewis Bingham blazed over at the back post. But Grimsby sealed the points in the dying minutes through Ben Sibbick.
