Sheffield Wednesday are working hard to build a squad capable of competing and are now looking to add Villa midfielder Tommi O’Reilly to their ranks.
Wycombe, AFC Wimbledon and Plymouth are amongst clubs to have signed players on Thursday, while Leyton Orient, Wigan and Cambridge have also been busy this week.
The biggest deal of the window around the league is the £20m departure of Leicester winger Abdul Fatawu to Ipswich.
Stockport County have signed attacking midfielder Harry Wood from League of Ireland side Shelbourne FC for an undisclosed fee, but have left one defender depart. Huddersfield Town have added to players from the Dutch leagues to their squad for the new season, while Blackpool and Cambridge are amongst the clubs to make recent signings.
It’s a bit calmer at Mansfield with David McGoldrick and Michael Smith bolstering last year’s squad with boss Nigel Clough looking to bring in one more midfielder to complete his summer dealings.
