It is a landmark day on Thursday as Mansfield Town will find out their 2022/23 League Two fixtures as well as their Carabao Cup first round opponents and Papa John Trophy group opposition.

League Two fixtures will be released tomorrow morning – a full list will appear here on www.chad.co.uk.

The Stags have been allocated ball number 20 in the Carabao Cup draw, which will take place live on Sky Sports News from 2.30pm.

Mansfield will be in the Northern Section of the draw with first round fixtures of the competition due to take place during the week of Monday, 8th August.

Stags already know they will be in Northern Section Group for the Papa Johns Trophy alongside League One side Derby County and recently promoted League Two Grimsby Town and the final slot will be filled by a Premier League club’s U21 side.

The 16 invited U21 teams will be drawn into their respective Northern and Southern groups on Thursday during the draw live on Sky Sports News at 11.30am

The eight Premier League sides in the Northern Section of the draw and eligible to face Stags are: Manchester United U21s, Manchester City U21s, Liverpool U21s, Everton U21s, Newcastle U21s, Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s, Leeds United U21s and Leicester City U21s.

The Papa Johns Trophy group stages will take place on the following dates:

Group game one – Week commencing 29th August

Group game two – Week commencing 19th September

Group game three – Week commencing 17th October
