A 13-goal spree to leave Bluey’s red-faced propelled rampant Jacksdale Social Club to the top of the First Division in the Alfreton QTS Sunday League.

Jacksdale rounded off 2015 with a 13-1 demolition of bottom-of-the-table Bluey’s, who have now lost 11 of their 12 league games and leaked 61 goals in the process.

Spearheading the rout was the prolific Phil Shaw, who bagged four goals to add to his impressive haul for the campaign, while Sam Brewster also fired a hat-trick. The other six goals were shared by Luke Wigley (2), Kelvin Swindell, Nathan Ball, Connor Dolan and Adam Coleman.

Jacksdale top the table by two points from Blackwell Miners Welfare, who were held to a 1-1 draw away to Duffield Dynamos. Both goals came in the second half, with Nathan Hadley on target for Blackwell and Tom Broadhead for the home side.

A further two points behind are Awsworth Villa, who crashed to a 5-2 defeat at Hayloft, for whom Luke Hirst bagged a hat-trick and Jay Miles netted the other two.

The other match in the top flight resulted in a six-goal thriller between Littleover HM and Jolly Colliers, who shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw. Ross Simms (2) and Simeon Lawrence struck for the home side, with Jake Watson (2) and Farren Packard replying for Colliers.

The day’s highest individual scorer was Danny Scivetti, who plundered five goals in a landslide 11-0 victory for promotion-chasing Marlpool United at Eastwood Albion in Division Two. Joe Lloyd (3), Scott Parkin, Declan Carney and Daz Archer also made the scoresheet in bottom team Eastwood’s 13th straight defeat this term. Swanwick Villa won 4-2 at Codnor Athletic in the division’s other fixture.
