The Lions have also also added local winger Cory Bowler from Holbrook Sports and promoted Josh Craddock, Jacob Ward, Jake Johnson and Chris Gillson from the U21s squad.

Heanor boss Glen Clarence said “First of all we didn’t want to see Deaks go, but it was an offer he couldn’t refuse.

“He has been great for us this season and has passed on his experience to a lot of the lads, it’s a shame it hasn’t worked out but he goes with good luck from myself.

“Fish is proven at this level having won the league, he’s looking forward to the challenge and everyone at the club will make him welcome.

“I must thank Rudy at Mansfield for his help in getting the deal done at the very last minute.

“Cory comes to bolster the squad with another left foot and that bit of pace and the four kids from the 21s join after showing great promise, three are technically gifted midfielders, Gillson is a centre forward with great movement and all four have a very bright future.”
