GAME ON: Mansfield Town v Blackpool passes pitch inspection

Mansfield Town's home game with Blackpool will go ahead as planned after the One Call Stadium passed a pitch inspection this morning.

Heavy rain in Mansfield yesterday had cast the fixture into doubt, but head groundsman Michael Merriman said this morning: “The pitch has drained really well over night, which was very positive to see after it was under water yesterday.

“It will still be damp in parts and we’re expecting some drizzle at around 10am, but the ball is in motion on the pitch and we’re good to go this evening.”

Tickets for the fixture can be bought by visiting or calling into the club’s ticket office at the One Call Stadium between now until kick-off (7.45pm).
