Frustration as Kimberley MW are held by struggling Newark & Sherwood
Kimberley MW suffered another frustrating afternoon at Greenwich Avenue as they were held 1-1 by struggling Newark & Sherwood United.
Luke White put the visitors ahead from the spot on 50 minutes, but Fin Ryder rescued a point with a 77th minute equaliser.

Despite a flurry of chances late on, Kimberley could not make their dominance pay.
Kimberley boss Ant Ward said: “I am pleased with the group as we largely dominated the game, but we know we have to find that form in front of goal.
“It’s a tough league with everyone beating each other, so we will take the point and move on.
“We went into the game looking to stop the recent run of defeats.
“Despite their league position, we know Newark and Sherwood United are always tricky opponents and have had an upturn in fortunes in recent weeks.
“We should have been out of sight inside 10 minutes as we spurned four excellent chances before Newark changed their system to gain a foothold in the half.
“Half-time was the Achilles heel once again as a free kick into our box was’t dealt with and we conceded a soft penalty with the Newark player going away from goal.
“These are things that punish you when you don’t take your chances.
“One thing we have continued to show this season is hard work and endeavour and that we don’t roll over easily.
“We then were awarded a contentious penalty which was calmly dispatched by Fin to draw us level.”
Kimberley were due to play at Belper United at Coronation Park in midweek and then head for leaders Boston Town on Saturday.
The Miners remained in the play-off places in fifth, three points clear of sixth with a game in hand after Saturday’s draw.
