Boston United have parted company with former Mansfield Town manager Graham Coughlan with the Pilgrims in 17th place in the National League.

The club have just gone five games without a win and are now sat just three points clear of the relegation zone, with Coughlan's final game coming in the 0-0 draw at Braintree Town on Saturday.

The Irishman took over as manager in November 2024 and led Boston to safety on the penultimate game of the season thanks to a run of 10 wins from 15 games across March and April.

But a run of one win in their last 11 league games since the end of October has now led to his departure.

With his family based in South Yorkshire, Stags lured Coughlan to the One Call Stadium from Bristol Rovers in December 2019, but on 28th October 2020 parted ways with him after a poor start to the season.

He went on to manage at Newport County before joining Boston United.

He was named National League Manager of the Month for March 2025 following a run of 20 points from nine matches, leading the Pilgrims outside of the relegation zone having been 12 points from safety at the start of the month.

The club secured safety in their penultimate match of the season, an achievement that Coughlan himself labelled 'a miracle'.

Boston United rejected a move from Hartlepool United to take Coughlan as their new manager before the current season.
