Bastian Schweinsteiger is training with the Manchester United U23 squad as he contemplates a future away from the club. Schweinsteiger, 32 on Monday, was culled from Jose Mourinho’s 25-man senior set-up last week, along with Adnan Januzaj, Andreas Pereira, Paddy McNair and Will Keane. Schweinsteiger’s brother has accused United of a lack of respect. (Manchester Evening News).
Tottenham are said to be considering a move for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater this summer, as they look to strengthen their squad for a Champions League campaign on top of their Premier League challenge. The Sun claim that Spurs and another unspecified ‘major Premier League club’ have been alerted to Drinkwater’s potential availability after contract talks between the player and the Foxes stalled in recent weeks.
