Football rumours: Juventus star Vidal will join Arsenal, not Manchester United, Clyne set for Liverpool, City enter race for Madrid’s Ramos

Arturo Vidal’s move from Juventus to Arsenal is a done deal, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Chilean star was rumoured to be a target of Manchester United, but reports in his native country say he’s bound for the Emirates.

Although Manchester United are still said to be keen on Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid, The Mirror report that Manchester City have entered the race for the Spanish defender.

The Southampton to Liverpool traffic shows no sign of abating, with the news that Nathaniel Clyne will make a £12.5m move to Anfield today – according to the Liverpool Echo.

Erik Lamela is on his way out at Spurs, with the Mirror suggesting an Italian club – thought to be Juventus – interested.

Newcastle, Sunderland and Leicester City are locked in a three-way battle for the services of Stewart Downing.

The Express reports that the winger will set any of those three clubs back at least £7m.
