Ex-Staveley boss Billy Fox takes over Clipstone hot seat

Billy Fox has been named new manager of Clipstone.

The former Staveley Miners Welfare and Thackley chief has a wealth of NCEL experience and takes on the role immediately.

Fox won the NCEL Division One championship with Staveley in 2010/11 and advanced to the FA Vase semi-finals in 2012.

He has been involved with Doncaster Rovers Academy and also tasted success with Hallam U19s, winning the North Midlands U19s League

Fox saw off competition from “a number of interested parties”, said the club in a statement.

He will be supported by club physio Jason Truscott in the technical area for Saturday’s trip to Handsworth Parramore (March 5).

“We would also thank Jason for taking temporary charge for our last two games that saw Clipstone remain unbeaten as they earned two draws,” added the statement.
